"Potato lorry spill closes motorway

MOTORISTS were faced with a nightmare of traffic hold ups and gridlocked roads yesterday (Wednesday, 26 July) following an early morning lorry crash on the M11 ... Problems were triggered when a lorry travelling south overturned spilling part of its 36-ton load of potatoes and diesel from its ruptured tanks across the M11.
The driver, a man aged 53 from Lincolnshire, escaped with minor injures from the 1.35am crash during which, the lorry toppled over onto the passenger side."
